I have a Samsung P2350 monitor and it recently not functioning ! This is unfortunate and it happens about 2 months after the warranty expired ! I am extremely surprised that this quality monitor is already dead and my cheap BenQ monitor is still running since a couple of years now!
Anyway, the problem is that when I power on the monitor is lights up for 2 seconds and then nothing on the screen. If I grap a light and go close to the monitor I can see the LCD panel working but no lights !
Again, it comes back for 2 seconds after 20-30 seconds ... That's it! Nothing else !
I have tried a couple of things provided in some forums or troubleshooting section on the Samsung website but I didn't find anyone with the same problem.
Can someone help !?
Thanks

boudha_69,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having some troubleshooting problems with your monitor.
You might try registering your product on the Samsung.com support site. In some cases, if you are located in the US region, registering your product will get you an additional three months of warranty. Then, once your product is registered, call the Samsung customer service center at 800-SAMSUNG, mention that you registered your unit. They may attempt some troubleshooting, which is always good to try. If that still doesn't work, you may have the ability to ask that your unit be serviced.

Thank you for the link. The problem is that I do not have the proof of purchase of this monitor ! I only have an email confirmation to my friend, for which I have bought the monitor and a credit card slip that only says where I bought it and the amount. That's it !
Hope there would be an easier way, I should have done registration when I had all the details handy ! It was purchased around January 14th 2010. This is the only thing I have and the serial number of the monitor !
It would be great to have this covered under warranty ... But I do not think it is possible. The only way left is to open it and see if something is apparent because I do not think it is worth it to repair a 200$ monitor ...
Let me know what you think.
Thank you
